  • الكل له الحق فى التصويت
  • عملية الصويت تتبع نظام ترتيب بدل من اعطاء صوتك لعدد محدود من المرشحين مطلوب منك ترتيبهم حسب رايك فى من الاصلح لدور مراقب
  • أفضل مرشح فى رأيك يحصل على ترتيب 1 و أخر مرشح فى ترتيب الأفضلية 13
  • يجب ترتيب كل المرشحين
  • لا يمكن اعطاء ترتيب واحد لأكثر من مرشح

  • every member has the right to vote
  • voting uses a ranking process, instead of giving your vote to certain candidates you will rank candidates according to you opinion on how suiteable they are for the role of moderator
  • the most suitable candidate gets a ranking of 1 the least suitable candidate gets a ranking of 13
  • all candidates must be ranked
  • you cannot give more than one candidate the same rank

SSTE Conference: Unemployment and development in ICT

We have been invited by Eng/ Mohamed Abo-Koriesh to attend a conference organized by The Scientific Society of Telecom Engineers (SSTE) that will be next wednesday 22/12/2004 at 6:00 PM.

the location will be in the Journalists Syndicate (the new building which is beside the lawyers syndicate)

The confrence will be about " Unemployment and development in communication and information technology ".

sorry for being so late on announcing this.

EGLUG will be involved in yet another partnership with a community oriented non-for-profit.

New Vision, is a young NGO working in the field of community development in Al Menya, the bulk of their work is being done by volunteers and they're very interested in the positive impact of technology on local communities.

they heard about FOSS and GNU/Linux and wanted a piece of the action so we agreed to prepare a 3 day intensive course for 4 of their volunteers on GNU/Linux desktop usage and administration and of course discuss FOSS concepts.

DNS implementation using BIND

In order to make one week for network services and network related issues. There will be session for implementing DNS (Domain Name Service) under linux Using BIND v 9 .

session will be conducted by Conceptor ( Diaa Radwan).

Prerequisites: There is nothing particular, but you should at least know TCP/IP fundamentals, or attend Intro to TCP/IP Netowrking session .

Due to the popularity of the drual session we will repeat it again on thursday, this time a maximum of 12 people will be allowed in tha lab (but being thursday we don't expect to get that many people again).
