hi i have a DSL line (shared with 5 PCs), and i want to control the bandwidth for every PC connected through it. can i do that though any linux version. and if it is possible how can i do that?

tc from iproute2
one uses the command tc (traffic control AFAIK) for this kind of thing, its part of the package iproute2
the docs are not very clear IMO, but with some efforts you'll get there, I'm willing to post my TC scrip but it only shapes the outgoing traffic.
