أنا بستخدم Ubuntu 8.10 و منزل عندي Adobe Flash Player 10 على الFirefox عن طريق الPlug-in اللي اسمها flashplugin-nonfree. المشكلة بقى أن الصوت في مقاطع الفلاش زي Youtube مثلا مش بتشتغل, الفيديو بس اللي بيشتغل. الصوت شغال في كل البرامج التانية. أنا عندي Alsa و OSS شغالين تمام.

1st : edit /etc/firefox/firefoxrc with your favorite editor ,, like vim and change FIREFOX_DSP="none" to FIREFOX_DSP="aoss"
restart firefox and it's done
2nd : sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree-extrasound
3rd: remove the flash plugin and download the plugin from adobe itself
choose the best for you :)

As for the 2nd and 3rd solution, I've tried them but doesn't work.
Concerning the first solution, Firefox 3.x no longer uses the directory name of /etc/firefox it uses /etc/firefox3 instead, and it doesn't have a firefoxrc inside.

I don't use UBUNTU I use Gnu/Debian it have Iceweasel ( firefox ) and the file already exist
cat /etc/iceweasel/iceweaselrc
ICEWEASEL_DSP="none"
as you see it's already there but I haven't touched it cause i'm using the official Adobe flash plugin, you have to remove all the flash plugins first then download the Adobe's one from their site, install it and restart your browser and it's done ...

I'm sure of Gnu/Debian , No Idea about UBUNTU but try this sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libesd.so.0 /usr/lib/libesd.so.1
if not working remove all the flash plugins you installed
apt-get --purge remove flash ****** whatever
and install the abode flash player only ..

On my friend Machine I did
On my friend Machine I did this after a new Installation of Ubuntu
sudo apt-get install alsa-oss
sudo export FIREFOX_DSP=”aoss”
every thing was working fine, also tested all the solutions I suggested and worked too..
and little search on UBUNTU Bugs I found this

the solutions I suggested before worked for many PPl.. as You see those are the only solutions you will find on the globe.. if it not working for you, I Can't Help you any more
