Regarding the GUC Installtion Fest. ... We've started gathering donations that will help us in buying the needed CDs and printing the pamphlets we'll be distributing. So far we've collected the following:

Donations
Would be good if we aimed a little higher with the donations and tried to cover the t-shirts. What cash is left-over can be divided by the number of t-shirts and deducted from the cost.

I'd say the best you can do is to go tomorrow to the GUC and offer the guys whatever help you can do there. Ask for Islam (phaeron) and I guess he can somehow help you.

we were in the GUC campus in H4 preparing for the event. most of us returned home tired so I assume no one was online. We will start arriving tomorrow (Saturday) early morning to finalize preparations.

Yeah it was me. We started discussing your problem with bsd, but then I got distracted by other things and you disappeared.
I haven't got much experience with BSD , but I am glad you solved your problem.
Some of us do software development. Msameer is the one with the most programming experience, specially his pet project katoob. I do some little things every now and then, besides sporadically updating phaeronix my gentoo based distro.
