The Egyptian Gnu/Linux Users Group (EGLUG) Annual General Meeting for the year 2005
one year passed after the first meeting of EGLUG,it produced a very successful year for the Egyptian GNU/Linux community .
we are calling for the second annual meeting which will be held on El-Sakia 9/7/2005.
EGLUG held its first General meeting at El Sakaia (Wisdom hall) ,may be this year we can organize our meeting on the River Hall (open area by El-Nile) .

Correction
There was not only "Sweaty male linux nerds"
our total number was 35, and there were 5 girls attending the meeting which makes for 14.28% of the total attendance.
It's not a high percentage, I admit, and we should work on attracting more girls/women to our group, put u cant just dismiss it and say "sweaty male linux nerds".

Is it possible to postpone it again to 16/7 ? Phaeron has an exam on the 10th of July thus won't be able to attend ?

IMO it is not
IMO we should not delay again.
phaeron is a very important and active member but he seems to be the only one who has this exam, it is impossible to find a date that is perfect for anyone.
when we delayed for sanawi it was because this potentially affects a large group of members.
we already gave sakia two dates, we want to use the summer time for increased activity the weeks of july are crucial and we should get done with the meeting and focus on activities.

one thing we might talk about
one thing we might talk about there is the large number of hotmail accounts that have been hijacked (hotmail in particular, i'm not sure about other email services that are .NET Passport-enabled) allegedly without any user-driven actions that trigged any form of malware.

i mean it was just a suggestion. i know it's not directly related to GNU/Linux or OSS but it's a kind of national concern to all who pursue a "safe" environment and infrastructure (that's why more and more people migrate to linux, at the first place). And we all know about the "security-oriented" nature of people who choosed linux as their operating system. I read some banner in IRC about alaa losing his, and i kinda lost mine for only 30 minutes (!!) today morning! every couple of days you hear about yet another one losing it! so anyways it was just a suggestion. take care.

there is nothing you should do except you go at (El Sawy culture wheel) Sakia Abdel Mon3em El-Sawy at el Zamalek ,off course you should be there at the gathring time from 3 pm to 7pm. ask about Linux Lab.
