Suggestions for first page topic rotation

I see there are two problems here.

1. we need a higher rate of new content to keep the website interesting
2. we need to make the homepage change more often (i response to this new content tab3an) to make the homepage more interesting

did I get this right?

now I don't see anywhere in your suggestion a proposal to fix 1, is there a way to fix 2 without first fixing 1?

as for 2, we already have two tools for advertising new content on the sidebar, the latest forum topic and the latest article.

what is the problem exactly with them? you prefer a different place or method for displaying this info?

or is it something totally different?
