Loaded all waypoints as csv in Gnumeric. Clicked on chart:

Flat files rock. Linux power tools: cat, cut, sort, uniq. kick ass.

One more thing, Expedia offers very good and detailed map here is how to (ab)use them. variables are CenP= (Center point LAT, LONG in DDD) Alti= (Altitude) Size= (Image size)

Now I need a 4x4 offroader!!

help needed

i am not linux user, however i am a gps Enthusiast, i downloaded this file from GEOnet Name server,, a couple og years ago, although it has valiable information, to me it has been nothing but trouble. i have only been able to use it manually.

can u help get in some mamagable format.

NB. i have 4x4 offroader and garmin 12 gps.

Unfortunatly

I also use it manually. I created a more readable version that can be placed on your PDA, cellphone or laptop for easier usage. It is a text file, you can use the find tool in any text editor. Will upload it and link to it in few minutes.
