Docbook WYSIWYG software development

Salamo 3alaikom all linux users in the forum,

I have made a shift from Office suites a while ago. I have made a shift to authoring tools like TeX/LaTeX. I have recently been interested into learning docbook. I did some search around softwares that allow WYSIWYG docbook editing. Most of the softwares didn't give me the requirements I am looking for with the exception of those that are Non-free. I decided to start my own program that can do such task.

Those are the features I am looking for in the software I am trying to invent:
1- To be compatible with different versions of docbook (up to docbook v5).
2- To be able to shift for GUI docbook authoring to flat text docbook editing.
3- To be context-able, i.e., to be able to insert child tags based on parent ones.
4- To allow auto-completion of tags, attributes both in the GUI docbook authoring and in the flat text modes.
5- Not to be memory intense application.

My thoughts around this software piece aren't complete yet. I have seen and tried Oxygen and XXL (softwares for docbook editing and authoring). I have tried conglomerate. I mention those softwares since I wish you to share ideas with me. I wish you guys to aid me in my project. I have made some decisions to start to learn both C++ and gtkmm since I have made my mind to make my program with them. I am looking forward for suggestions around possible building language that can be different that what I chose (that is portable and not memory intense), around possible software features someone could add to my ideas and for testers for it as well.

Thanks in advance.
