Hello Linuxers :)
I always browse EGLUG's website each day to see what's new, sadly, I noticed recently that it is being plagued by spam, which is a thing that all of us doesn't like.
So because that the admins are not following this issue closely, and per linuxawy's advice, I request to be a moderator to fight spam here :D
I am wondering how should this thing go?
Thanks,
According to the charter
We should decide how much moderators are needed (I would say 2 or 3 max) and put this to vote. Afterwords a call for moderators is to be made, then a vote to choose among those who are willing to take this role.

ok man forget about the rules.. what are you proposing? :)

I'm not suggesting anything.
I'm not suggesting anything. I haven't worked with him ;-)
you are right
Actually as we have zero moderators currently there's no real point of sticking to the rules that states the max number of moderators anyway.
I was only trying to play my rule as an admin, to back the rules up. This doesn't mean that it's completely a right thing to do.
Well I still think we should create a vote, or at least gather some acceptance from members to reach certain point of community agreement on him.
That's my vote for DesertFox as a start

I also vote for myself as moderator, for more action in Cairo :)
ok, this is the second vote for desertfox and the first vote for myself, I'm no senior member but we're not sticking to rules here, right..? :)
my campaign main goal is "for more action in Eglug/Cairo. as Alex already has Linuxawy :)
You rarely show on IRC. You
You rarely show on IRC. You don't post much here.
I'd hold my vote for you. Sorry.
I agree with you, I'm not
I agree with you, I'm not posting due to inactivity of the site, and I'm not showing on IRC due to inactivity of EGlug in general. but you are right and I respect your decision..
