Job opportunity for a linux engineer / sysadmin

A newly established company specialized in high end storage solutions, image scanning/recording equipment and visual effects systems for the film, broadcast and post production market is seeking an engineer to perform installation, support and troubleshooting of highly configured linux based systems ( mostly Redhat / CentOS based )

Work hours are quite flexible Job is based in Cairo, but might require short travels outside Egypt occasionally

We're looking for juniors and seniors If you're senior and interested in learning highend technologies this is the right opportunity.

Job requirements :

  • Experience in linux system administration ( ofcourse ! )
  • Knowledge of bash scripting
  • Good command of the english language ( verbal and written )
  • Good communication skills / attitude
  • Ablility to work under pressure, and in different working hours
  • Enthusiastic, self motivated, systematic, creative ...etc. ( you know the rest )

These are pluses

  • Good knowledge of networking protocols
  • Kowledge of Mac OS X
  • Knowledge of scripting languages ( Perl / Python ..etc. )
  • Knowledge of hardware subsystems, different protocols / connectors
  • Knowledge of moving images technologies / systems
  • Knowledge of storage systems , fileservers , SAN systems
  • Have a car
