Everyone's Installation Problem "Formatting"

There's a step in installation called partitioning. Don't EVER use the automatic or guided option. Use the Custom Option and create 3 partitions:

• Root partition: type ext3, mount point '/', size about 10G or more, this is gonna have your programs and system.
• Swap partiotion: type Swap, size 1.5 ~ 2 x RAM size (if you have 1G ram, then use 1.5 to 2G swap)
• Home partition: type ext3, mount point '/home', size as you like, This is gonna have your files like desktop and user settings and documents. If you are gonna download movies then you'd better get this one big.
