1)I want to know is there specific VPN Connection for just windows xp, for more clarification i have access to vpn and it is working fine on windows but when i tried to connect using cisco vpn client it gave me the following error:
root@mohamed-laptop:/# vpnclient connect myconnection Cisco Systems VPN Client Version 4.8.00 (0490) Copyright (C) 1998-2005 Cisco Systems, Inc. All Rights Reserved. Client Type(s): Linux Running on: Linux 2.6.22-14-generic #1 SMP Sun Oct 14 23:05:12 GMT 2007 i686 Config file directory: /etc/opt/cisco-vpnclient
Could not attach to driver. Is kernel module loaded? The application was unable to communicate with the VPN sub-system.
2)There is other thing i just used 3 things ipaddress ,username,password but in linux when i tried to config file this is the default sample:
Description=sample user profile Host=10.212.20.52 AuthType=1 GroupName=monkeys EnableISPConnect=0 ISPConnectType=0 ISPConnect= ISPCommand= Username=chimchim SaveUserPassword=0 EnableBackup=0 BackupServer= EnableNat=1 CertStore=0 CertName= CertPath= CertSubjectName= CertSerialHash=00000000000000000000000000000000 DHGroup
any one can help where to configure this file as i don't have neither groupname nor passwordgroup
A quick search in google
A quick search in google says that this is probably because there is some service that should be running that would load the required kernel module. Is this service running on your system ?
For the configuration file, you can set the information you know and try and see how the defaults work or try to check the documentation for description of the configuration entries. Did you try to search first ?
RE: A quick search in google
Gazkom Alah Kheer on your quick response
As i think that there is information i don't have when i was connecting from WinXp i configure 3 things only ipaddress,username,password but in the configuration file (Ciso client VPN on linux)other information i don't know groupname and group password and other information likecertname,certpath,etc. That's why i sent the error log when i connect and the other configuration file (which is the default configuration)not the one that i really configured.
Note:
I tried to connect through my Virtual Winxp under Linux using VPN i always use,no response from server.

what kind of VPN you have?
