Hi I'm using Ubuntu 7.04....
I wanted to write Arabic on my keyboard so i went:
system --> admistration --> lang support --> added Arabic then the SCIM icon appeared, so I added Arabic in the SCIM setup I also added arabic on keyboard layouts
I finally have Arabic in my SCIM menu, but now when I write in arabic it writes wrong characters corresponding to my strokes (pushing a key writes another letter) some keys even write english letters
I am technically unable to write arabic at all
I am using a Compaq laptop with standard layout
