OPEN conference at UCLA: Processing in Arabic?

Hello, I heard about eglug during my visit to Cairo at OpenStudios, at the Townhouse gallery. This weekend, I will talk about the OpenStudio experience at the OPEN conference at UCLA, which is online here:

The conference organizer, Casey Reas, is a co-author of processing.org, a simple scripting language which I hope could be used for education, especially if it were translated into Arabic.

I will be back in Egypt this Spring and look forward to more open-source digital art making.

Greetings, Greg

Hi Greg. Will be good to have you back. Do you have anything in particular in mind around how EGLUG and processing.org or or OPEN or more generally the world of digital art might riff? If you could let the LUG know in advance when you expect to be here, I'm sure we could arrange for this to overlap with a gathering. (bonus points to you if you can wean theSamo off his retro-8-bit-played-through-a-cuban-mountain-goat's-petrified-bladder-type musical preference) --

Online for Now

The conference is broadcast at this address, I believe:

and I will be back in April and May 2007, with a show at the American University and a public program at Townhouse. We maybe can organize a Processing workshop there, too.
