hi

can someone advise please

I can't mount the windows partition (ntfs) I use Fedora core 5 I made these steps

uname -rm

I got this :

2.6.15-1.2054_FC5smp i686

I then installed this file : kernel-module-ntfs-2.6.15-1.2054_FC5-2.1.26-0.rr.10.0.i686.rpm

rpm -Uvh kernel-module-ntfs-2.6.15-1.2054_FC5-2.1.26-0.rr.10.0.i686.rpm

reboot

when I tried to mount using this command :

mkdir /mnt/windows

mount -t ntfs /dev/hda1 /mnt/windows

I get this message :

mount: unknown filesystem type 'ntfs'

any help please thanks ...

modprobe

I'm not sure, but try "modprobe ntfs" before mounting.
