ok , the website is well organized , but there is still a big problem , the website main aim is to increase teh awareness of the Eglug and the Linux society in Egypt , i had some shots with Linux , but the wide variety of different versions , and for sure cause i am totally ignorant about it , i was scared of even trying it and my 2nd fear was losing any saved data on my personal PC when i try to install any version of Linux , over here , u provided us with loads of versions of Linux , but no one showed us the difference between them , neither if the installation steps of any version of them differ from the other , so i am looking forward to seeing any of u showing us the first few steps in Linux world , i am waiting for ur replies patientely ,

First step:
Your first step is to not fear full stops. Try reading your post in one breath man.
Second step is to back up your data from the computer on optical media. If you're not doing that already without being interested in linux you're in trouble.
Third step is to try linux (I suggest mandriva or ubuntu), to destroy your installation, understand why it was eestroyed, install again, destroy, understand, (loop)

Try to play and tinker with linux, read tutorials and HowTos, googling, post you questions here and I'm sure you will learn much more in short time.

But after you do all these things and become comfortable with linux, think about use it as the main operating system of you , do every tasks that you usually do it on windows and leave windows for ever, live and fun with linux.
