A New Forum Topic

I think there should be a new forum topic for Job Posting related to Linux. What do think Admins?

phaeronix's picture

what do you mean?

Do you mean that all job offers should be collected in one thread ? Or do you mean that this forum thread needs to be somewhere else?

Alaa's picture

I think he means we need a

I think he means we need a special forum for this, and I agree

Alaa

Gnu/Linux business >Career opportunities

we now have container named Gnu/Linux business, and there is category called >Career opportunities

we can add any needed categories related to business. like freelance

Diaa Radwan

MSameer's picture

Object

Did you consult with anyone first ?

Conceptor's picture

why do you object? why I

  1. why do you object?
  2. why I should consult someone else? (where we have really needed category to organize our content)
  3. why you didn't give useful feedback ? like you object for these subset of reasons

Note: My changes are subject for change,no harm if you(anyone) want to remove/change them Note: we are all offtopic.

Diaa, You are the LAST

Diaa, You are the LAST preson to talk about people not giving useful feedback, You always critisize people without giving useful feedback.

I didn't give feedback because a discussion is inprogress and we didn't settle on something. The fact that you don't join the IRC channel makes yo apart from the rest of the administrators.

Since when should an admin change something that is NOT argent by himself ?

What if you changed it, I came after you and didn't like it so I rechanged it again, Sherif came and did the same, ......... Can you imagine the situation ?

Note: My changes are subject for change,no harm if you(anyone) want to remove/change them Note: we are all offtopic.

then you came chnage it to something els coz you didnot like it ,

than some one change to 3rd thing , and finally some one els come and chnage it back to its origin state

er7mona ba2a, i wonder if we can make section for admins/mods arguments...

I Was Known as POSIX

Not a bad idea

Except it would all be wolfie and Sameer, since the other two admins just disappear and appear at random.

(said it before, will say it again.)

bleh!

Actually I disappeared from the warzone of arguments. I created the new forum with the name "Career Opportunities" under eglug container, Diaa created the new container and moved the forum there. There was a discussion that I started on the IRC about this very subject and Diaa took action while we were discussing. Not very team friendly. However I agree with diaa that his action is appropriate towards the attitude we are getting from alaa, Msameer and Darkness_Wolf. For example when I was discussing this subject and I said "If two community members can't agree on what to do we have a problem", I was made fun off.

Of course the idea not being that we mind meld, no it's the diversity of opinions that makes our community the rich one it is ( an overstatemnet ). What I meant is agree on a middle ground, a compromise. And the result is what we have here, constant, irritating silliness and bickering ( me included ).

I rest my case.

MSameer's picture

IMHO

You simply disappeared from the warzone of arguments and created a forum by yourself, This is bad IMHO.

If we are discussing then we are discussing, You shouldn't take an action by yourself in the middle of the discussion. Not so team friendly. You are critisizing Diaa for something you did personally.

Then "If two community members can't agree on what to do we have a problem".

This is neither a fact nor a correct statement, Diversity in opinions is what makes life and discusionr rich and it's why people come out with new ideas, It's whu I discuss Arabization related problems with you.

And then you say: "Of course the idea not being that we mind meld, no it's the diversity of opinions that makes our community the rich one it is"

Contradicting ?

And the result is what we have here, constant, irritating silliness and bickering ( me included ).

I'm neither silly nor irritating nor bickering :-)

I'd say that this is an insult to the community from one of the admins, As a friend I'll accept it but I don't accept it as a LUG member, Even if the community is bad and is full of whatever "which is not 100% true".

I don't quite understand what's happening here these days ? I honestly see no one doing anything useful instead of me and a few other people, Which is not something that makes me happy.

Diaa Radwan

Alaa's picture

can you describe the

can you describe the structure of the job content type?

maybe we can create one using flexinode and allow anyone including anonymous users to add it but make it so that jobs don't get published unless a mod approves them
