The guy didn't do anything wrong and didn't say any bad words, why do u pre-judge him and laugh about him. He just see an enthusiastic practical girl playing with linux (mostly a boys game) and requested to chat, so u can answer him NO if u don't like to chat or YES if u would like instead of laugh on that boy.

The LUG is full of enthusiast
The LUG is full of enthusiastic, practical and hard working ppl. Did he send this to any male member of the LUG, I dont think so? If he had send a message to any of our male active members, would he use the same words? I dont think so. I'm a LUG member, my gender shouldn't make any difference to how ppl approach me or communicate with me.
For me this is an ASL (age, sex, location), he did not mention anything about Linux, FOSS, EGLUG or even computers in his message. He just stated that he is a male aged blah blah from this place and he wants to chat with me.
If this is not an ASL, I dont know what is!

The boy did not do anything wrong. You're behaving precisely like the snooty high school cheerleader girls who caught the unwashed nerd glance at them and then proceeded to make a situation out of it to enhance their stature as pristine and unapproachable.

out of curiosity I checked the logs
and yeah he did absolutly nothing on this website (judging by IP address tab3an), except register, browse the members list, visit manal's profile and post a private message.

who register in this site should understand its name and deal with members here according to the aim of the site.. not trying to do something should be done in chatting sites.. that's for the ASL. and manal, i guess you are wrong too, you shouldn't over-react like that.. you should just ignore him,, if he insists then you should do what you've done or may be more.
