I have the D-Link DSL-500T, just got kernal and firmware files and tried to upgrade it. I started with the kernal, then when the router rebooted there was only the power light on. I could not get in by any means. So searched around and found a utility that suppse to connect to it somehow during the hardware reset. That utility still won't do it.
Please if anyone have any idea , any information , let me know.
Only power light is on. But i do see on my laptop that am connected to something and the light on my laptop eathernet is on. I configured my ip to 192.168.0.99 and gateware to 192.168.0.1 as the utility says. (GT701-WG-Recovery.exe) and pressed the power button then unplugged the power and plugged it back, but the waiting for reset, just keeps on going on and on. I have also tried may ways of resetting the router including holding it for long time, unplug the power many times, press the reset button on the back many times. But nothing seemed to work.
unplugged it during the firmware update
you probably unplugged it during the firmware update.
which would not be a good thing
