Path of a file

I have a file located on a client machine (ex: home/user/file.txt) and I want to uplaod this file on server machine .. so I read the path of this file on server as (home/user/file.txt) but when he seach on that path he search on the server machine of course and he didn't find that path on the server .. so is there any way to mark the path for ex. with the IP of his machine or something like that??
