I have a few questions about starting a new small-sized software development company here in Egypt...
1-If I use the GNU Linux Operating system and software developement tools (compilers,designers,...) as a platform to build our products what will be the financial issues here ? i.e Is there any fees or license charges to be paid because i used the Linux OS in a business use??
2-What are the most suitable markets which we can target? For example Vertical markets (specific industries) or other ones in Egypt
3-What are the laws which protect such a new industry in Egypt? And what are the format steps to do such a thing..
4-Honestly,When developing software for buisiness reasons is it better to use Microsoft's Windows platform and developement tools taking in consideration the Egyptian Market?
5-Any Advices,comments,similar stories about new companies will be very useful...

no fees or license charges paid to anybody as long as your code is YOUR code and doesn't include GPL source code, you don't have to open your source to anybody.
linking in GNU libraries is okay, but modifying those libraries and then linking them in is NOT ok
'ok' or not 'ok' refering to if you have to open source your code
