if you have an informative content and you want to share it with members ,submitt it on wiki pages.
you may submit it under wiki-->> » Articles Under Construction
we are very happy to have a new active members, mistakes are expected and are not a big deal.
yes its not obvious how to add content to the wiki, when we upgrade to Drupal 4.6 (probably after exams) this will improve.
its important to put this on the wiki, because otherwise no one will be able to edit it, you'll notice when you browse the forum that the edit link does not exist.
but if its a book page (wikipage) everyone will be able to edit.

changing the outline of a node to be part of a book heirarchy does not turn the node into a book page.
while what you did solved the organizational problem it did not sllow our members to edit the page.
anyways I changed the node type manually from the database, but next time please create a new book page, copy the content there, then unpublish the original.

yes thats a good place for it.
if it is deemed a very imporant piece of news a moderator can push it to the front page.
Wiki should contain articles and pieces of knowledge that will benefit from others editing it.
forum is for things we are likely to talk about and discuss but not likely to want to edit together.

I wanted to say the page is n
I wanted to say the page is not changed from it self .I thought when adding it to outline it will be classified as wiki.
since the outline will not work ,creation a new page would be perfect
mdk man : write any start page but do not submit it as question ;-)
