Al salam 3alikom; Is it true? Do we have to get a license to install M$ Fonts inside Linux ? If so, the problem will not to write in Arabic with linux, there are many free fonts like Arabeyes . The problem will be that we’ll not be able to open our M$ documents that written by Arabic fonts like ( traditional Arabic, Arabic transparent , etc ) . How can we solve this problem? Use fonts aliases , !
no it isn't
The MS ttf EULA license, it's not illegal as long as you agree to it ;)
you use it you loose it
You can use them, but not redistribute them.
What if the person you want to give the document to doesn't have the font? I guess it's better to use freely distributable fonts. And use open file formats while you are at it.
