Why anonymous comments have to pass a filter, this doesnt happend on slashdot and other places. Where is the freedom of speech?

its mostly for spam actually, we recieve regular comment spam.
on slashdot the whole community moderates all posts in a rather complex and IMO b0rked system of karma, we opted for simpler solution require approval and have a large team of democratically elected mods and admins monitor the queue

This looks like someone is willing to promote other thing, better said other people, instead of linux. So suspicius is that comments have to recive the aprovation of the moderators.
