Academic • B.Sc. in computer science or equivalent training • Object oriented software development training • Database management training is an asset Experience • Demonstrated skill developing database-driven web-based applications using PHP and MySQL. • Demonstrated skill developing complex SQL queries and reports. • Experience developing on a Linux/Apache/MySQL platform. • General familiarity with Linux OS and networking. • Understanding of web technologies and techniques including XML, SOAP and AJAX. • Experience with Java is an additional asset. • Experience with Microsoft .NET is an additional asset. General • Results-oriented, and takes pride in good work. • Creative and quick to learn. • Desires challenge and is willing to promote their ideas. • Proficient oral and written English language skills. • Working hours are 3 PM to 11 PM Cairo time Sunday to Thursday • We expect a full work week, and willingness to work as hard as needed to complete projects on time. • Must remain aware at all times that the integrity of the data in our database is absolutely critical to the success and survival of this business, and to a lesser extent, so is the uninterrupted operation of the system.
