It has been a pleasure being an EGLUG administrator for the past time. However, I feel that I'm not qualified as an admin - at least for some people here - and that I don't really have much time.

I was the one who posted that the previous team wasn't really doing their job. I thought that having a new team will ease things a bit, I ran for the elections for mainly 2 reasons: 1) I believe that I was among the active half of the team and that I can still give.

The new one with 1.5 is ANNOYING, Yes I know it's the default gtk one these days but it's crap, slow and evil.

We suspect a problem with either the SCSI harddisk or the SCSI controller which were responsible for the recent server lockups.

Since me and alaa'll be outside Egypt soon for a while and no quarantee about the net connectivity, We had to transfer the root "/" to te IDE drive although we had another SCSI drive attachd to the server. But to eliminate any problem with the SCSI controller we decided to depend on the IDE until we are back then dig farther.

The comments form was b0rked and unusable, it's a bug in the latest drupal update.
