Cannot Connect to internet through vodafone DSL in RedHat9

I installed Red hat 9 on my desktop computer but i cannot connect to internet through my DSL Router i tried to connect fix the problem through the Network configuration GUI , i see the network card in called "eth0" and status is "inactive" when i press "activate" button i got error message "the card seems not to be connected" , what can i do?

Problem with thunderbird mail.

I have just opened my thunderbird inbox which contained several "read" messages to read any new ones. The contents of the inbox appeared and except for the one new message instantly vanished.

They are not in the deleted folder so where are they?

Yesterday I kept getting a message when I went into thunderbird telling me that it was , I can't remember the exact phrase,compressing the index.

all arabic characters turns into question mark!!!

Hello Gurus i am sure i will find my answer here, i am running an arabic site on drupal www.2knowmyself.com/arabic

suddenly and out of no reason all links turn into question marks and so whenever i click on anything i get a page not found error

this is not a local display issue because whenever the problem happens i browse the site from other computers and still find the question marks

hi all.

i have a problem in printing via samba server, the problem is concluded as follows

1- i have a printer attached to windows machine (hp laserjet p1005)

2- i have a fedora 9 linux machine and want to print from this linux machine to windows printer

3- i have an error message of the form '/usr/lib/cups/filter/foomatic-rip failed.'

plz any one can help, i would appreciate

I have a problem with internet connection on ubuntu 8.04 . my computer doesn’t connect with internet on ubuntu ....so i intered the IP, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS addresses manually ....the problem not solved .....what can i do to solve it??????????
